Our organisation was founded in the 1990s by ex-national serviceman Bob Parker who served in the Canal -Zone- Egypt in the early 1950s. It was set up to cover Birmingham and the midlands area. Later in 2000 as our membership expanded across the UK and abroad we became the National Service Veterans Association..
In 2001,the Association commisioned and had dedicated a Parade Standard this is carried on important events throughout the year.
In 2003, a memorial to fallen national servicemen was commisioned and dedicated it stands in its own landscaped plot at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire. We are indebted to Award Productions for there help in sponsership of this project.
In 2007, a memorial plaque commisioned and sited at the Peace Gardens, Bath Row, Birmingham.
